The Research and Activity Domains (RAD) of C-MAC
C-MAC is organized in several RADs:
- Development of new metallic alloys and compounds: Thermodynamics, sample preparation and crystal growth, characterization and phase transformations
- Materials for structural applications: mechanical properties of CMA and related composites
- Materials for thermoelectricity and magneto-calorimetry
- Materials for catalysis: Mechanism and potential application of catalysis on metallic alloys and compounds
- Coating technologies for barrier and functional applications: Property-related surface phenomena
- Complexity: basics of periodic and aperiodic order in metallic alloys and compounds (bulk and surface)
- Euroschool on Material science
- Dedicated training and further education on metallic alloys and compounds targeting mainly industry
- Gender mainstreaming in material science
